Pre game thoughts
In general, best idea is to take better fights/exchanges than Legion player. However we’ve played this already once, and I was quite sure that it wouldn’t go same way like last time. I’ve decided to be rather patient looking for nice opening, then see what can be achieved. Simply saying no easy caster kill is feasible in both ways (early turns), also no easy way to win scenario quickly for both sides.

Deployment
In this game terrain was quite nice for Legion, hellmouths could hide in few areas. Like in most games I kinda split army having medium tharns one side and most of the other models other side. Idea is simply medium tharns work best if they are in same area. Spreading them on the whole board is not giving same result. My opponent also did nothing too surprising splitting ogres to one side and cavalry to other side.

Round 1
As I was first player I’ve tried to play safely but also taking serious space on the table. Trackers were quite nice for that purpose keeping left flank, LotF has been kept safely however at this time I was considering moving him left as there was biggest chance to get something done. Legion player played very defensively and cautiously.

Round 2
On second turn I put model to the flag – baiting a bit something for contest, I also put one of the death wolves into the zone forcing at least two good shots in order to get him killed (which were quite not sure as death wolves were not the prey target (honestly don’t remember what was the prey target). On right zone I’ve put heavily models to potentially take point and also be able to clean anything contesting. Central zone was left quite uncontested. Round ended 2:0 for Legion.

Round 3
My approach was simple – I’ve got an opening space for lord of the feast – he took 4 warmongers, bloodtrackers put prey onto warspears and killed 3 of them. On the r ight zone didn’t done too much just jammed a bit and contested. Scoring 2 points -> equaling scenario -> 2:2. Legion player killed my brennos in revenge, also killed something in the zone, lotf, and put contesting model to left flag. On the right zone – he failed to clear tharns (Carnage was not there, and he missed tharns with hellmouth unit). Scoring only middle zone – he changes score to 3:2 for Legion.

Round 4
On my turn I cleared flag and my zone, killing also most of the infantry/cavalry models. The score switched into 4:3 for circle. At this point we already knew that there is no way back for Legion and scenario lose is the only option sooner or later. Legion player decided to prove me wrong once again, and while I was feeling to confident/not careful enough he set up an assasination attempt. Basicaly he required to kill a tharn blocking way in front of morvahna, then cast gallows roll about 3+ and then hit with hellmouth and have kill almost sure. However he failed to take down the tharn. After this we’ve decided there is no point in playing further rounds.

Summary
– this list has too many ways to find an opening, it’s really hard to avoid giving any chance whole game. Sooner later something will happen and you benefit on this.
– again, I must remember how fragile Morvahna is. After 5 games I still do not feel comfortable enough in terms of keeping her safety. Needs more focus and practice around this
– Primal Terros wouldn’t be ever much favorable in this pairing. It’s not tragic pairing, but tharns under morvahna could feel confident taking this matchup. Using WTC scale, I would say 60-40 for Circle. And then switching depending on terrain and scenario (slower scenario gives some percentage in favor of legion, more place to hide hellmouts also helps, so in this case spread the net and cloud / forest were rather not changing the pairing but if it would the pit II with this terrain I would rather say it’s more 50% (with some swings +5/-5 depending on personal player preferences and general experience with the pairing).
