Deployment:

*kossite’s jumped on the table as 4th unit of reavers 😛

I won the roll and decided to go first. Placed my Outriders on the side where are more difficult terrain to run through. Marauder in the middle of table, whose plan is to turn to the side where Intercepor pop up.

Turn1: (photos from opponent point of view)
Just run where I can without being oblitared by engines sprays and rocketmans.

Syvestro cast transmutation on halabardiers and admonition on Toro(grey jack on the left). Then my opponent done some shots, he was able to with Vindicator and engine. Then jams my doomies on both flanks with trancers, while the third of them smuggle behind the building.

Turn2: I strike the left flank with halabardiers without charging to avoid set defense bonus. Aparittion helped me to deal with the trancer there. Of course hex blast was cast here to dispell transmutation. I have to say I made some nice berserk rolls there and murdered many of them. Two swordsmans charged Toro but without big success here.
On the other flank I killed few rocketmans and took futher space.

Enc: Tank charges into my doomies and wipe them out hardly. Lucky for me Toro was much less efficient. Vindicator aims, shooting to Ruin and dealing substantial damage. Rocketmans are doing great agains my doomies with ambushing Hutchuk.

Turn3: This is going to be my feat turn. So on the left flank, my plan is to kill both jacks and more steelheads, due to I will be able to lock the train well (dont have enough resources to clear the whole zone)(cant clear the middle zone either since outriders wont kill the 18arm objective).
Well it did’nt gone well, because the liberator stands and no halabardiers was killed :P. Even Fenris has to charge to finish Toro. But luckily I managed to kill Mosby with ghostly Outriders (the sergeant was also nearly killed 🙁 ). I did some damage on interceptor and popped feat so I’m happy there.
On the other side I take care of Hutchuk and Trancer. Killed few more rocketmans and even Ruin gathered some soul :D.

Enc: The feat shut down him nicely if Vindicator had to move back, out of the range of the ruin who sit in the middle of the zone. Rocketman struggle to unjams from doomreavers. Although they were revived by Syvestro who also popped feat. On the left zone my people are dying since liberator turn into rambo mode(feat helped him obviously). Steelheads combined to kill my cavarly and engine made his one melee attack.
Engine and jack got healed almost to full from the feat.

Don’t have an picture here :/

Turn4: Marauder gone for the tank but was’nt able to destroy it and Fenris had to finish the job for him :/. On top of that one halabardier survived in the zone (even Zerkova tried desperate 19″ hex blast to finish him off :D, but nope). After all I killed almost whole unit there including sergeant. On the other zone, unfortunately I also didnt managed to clear the zone. So still no points for anybody.

Enc: Two remaining halabardiers tried to be brave but cant do much. Liberator just killed my last pony and scrach little of the Marauder. With an Alyce’s guidance Vindicator could charge through my cloud and destroy Ruin.

Again no picture on this turn. Still 0:0

Turn5: I finally cleared the left zone and scored first point with Zerkova. Aiming for the middle zone now and trying to hold the right zone as long as I can with remaining greylords. 1:0

Enc: My opponent could’nt clear the right zone. This caused Vindicator had to contest the middle zone, because I would be able to win the game by scoring easy 3 point next turn. This all came out when an suprise trigger of watcher (forgot it for the whole game :D) killed poor Alyce who wanted to sneak into the zone. Therefore my zone has not been contested and I scored another point here. 2:0

Turn6: Sadly Marauder had’nt the charge line or enough movement to combosmite the Vindicator out of the zone and basically with the game. Nevertheless my opponent concide when I cleared his rocket, Gorman and scored another 2 points (zone and objective), then blocks Vindicator before contesting my zone.

Afterthoughs:

  • Unfortunately for doomies this scenario is easy to freeze. So impact of the swordsmans doesnt give you much scenario points. I scored my first point in turn5.. Maybe I should have somehow attack the middle zone stronger.
  • Ghost walking Outriders are great. Although, its hard to position full unit between all these stuff.
  • I always have to look for wachter procs, especially when Zerkova hide behind the building in the middle of the table :D. This can really mess up opponent plan for the turn.
  • Zerkova is solid caster for sure. Her feat is huge, every spell is an sharp tool with arcane artifacts and grave door. I just still can’t fully convince into her somehow.

Thanks for reading this and cheers!
