Grymkin army was lead by Karol.
WTC Poland2 Captain and my teammate.

Karol chose the following Arcana :

– If my model finishes moving in Heretic’s control range, my other models in his ctrl get -2 SPD.
– If my unit leader will issue an order while being in Heretic’s control range, this order is “deleted”.
– If my models will kill enemy in the Heretic’s ctrl range, then the whole Grymkin army has prey on my unit (it’s probably the unique Heretics arcana).

I’m going first.

Deployment :

Thyra cast Occultation on left horses, Gates of Death on herself and Silence of Death on right horses.
Everything run forward, but out of Grymkin’s ranges.
One Daughter run extremaly forward to provoke vengeance.

Grymkins just run forward.
Gorehound killed one Daughter and sprint back.
Heretic casts Dodge on himself and Wall of Fire.

End of 1st round :

There’s a chance for CK (Thyra and BoM) after a few combinations, but I would have to roll a lot of “6” to hit.
One miss and Heretic will escape me.
Nothing to try, it’s too risky.
Thyra FEAT – now or never!
I killed whole unit of Dread Rots on the right flank, one Gorehound and few Dread Rots from another unit.
Right Flamebringers, after killing models in Heretic’s ctrl, become prey to whole Grymkin army.
Unfortunately this Arcana can not be avoided 🙁
Temple Guards mini feated, Mechanik run to the left flag.
Daughters from ambush and left horses killed a lot of Hollowmen and Dread Rots.
Dervish killed Witchwood.

Karol killed preyed horses first.
After that, he chose a new prey target (I didn’t know this Arcana works like “normal” prey, so if you kill preyed unit, you can chose another unit for prey).
That benightedness cost me 9 Flamebringers and whole unit of Daughters…
Heretic put Wall of Fire again.

2-1 on the scenario.

End of 2nd round :

All I need to win is to score 4 scenario points this turn.
Mechanik will stay b2b with the flag, so “free” point here.
I’m looking for 3 more.
Thyra cast Carnage.
Dervish killed few models in the middle zone and end his activation in Grymkin’s zone – to contest it.
Temple Guards killed a lot of models and they did huge dmg to the Gorehound.
At the moment the Temple Guards had finished their movement, Heretic activate -2 spd Arcana.
BoM charged Witchwood, kills it, side step to reach Rattler and kills him too.
Sanctifier killed the last model in the middle zone.
Nicia took care of wounded Gorehound and sprint back to the flag.
Choir came to the middle zone.
At the end of my turn, Thyra teleport to my zone for the point.

I won by scenario 6-1.

End of the game :

A few words after game :

  • What a wonderful game.
    We had over 100 models on the table!
  • With such a number of models, time passes very quickly.
    It’s very easy to lose on a deathclock.
  • Despite the 22 eyeless sight, shooting with apparition Grymkin models, it’s OK match for Thyra.
    If I remember that prey Arcana works like “normal” prey, it would be much better to play this game.
