Pre game thoughts
Generally I felt OK going into this matchup, there is small amount of models, I have enough offensive power to overwhelm my rival (at least that was what I suspected). Also rival lacks serious amount of scenario pieces (good and cheap contesting models, solos easy to deliver to flags). So on scenario we played, and with this list, I predicted rather relatively calm game for me.

My opponent chosen to be first, therefore I forced him to play with buildings. I was hoping that it would comfortably split huge bases for me, and also I should easier adapt to situation then this cygnar list

Round 1
As predicted Cygnar list was spread on the table, I just make some calculated risks counting on having enough resources on the left to deal with hunter/ironclad/BE, while rest of army was planned to engage middle/right part very heavily.

Round 2
What happened here is I tiny bit miscalculated ranges of BE, so he did attempt to kill as many trackes as he could, and also he picked some ravagers and one death wolve. However in result he put hunter, engine and ironclad very aggresively on the left side of the house (below the flag) while his right part of the army was progressing quite slowly.

I survived with 5 trackers which almost picked BE with some help of mortality and prey. Small help of lord of the feast made the deal. Also some combination of good rolls and various attacks (from wolf chick, ravager, brennos spell) resulted in dead ironclad. On the right I didn’t do anything spectacular, just heavily jammed, and in total got 3:0 on CP

I haven’t done a picture here, but it wasn’t necessary, Cygnar made to do nothing hunter, clear the zone, but not contested my zone (he could either put pod into flag or zone), so we get to 4:1. And then I just needed to clear and flag and get 6:1 finishing the game

Summary of the game
– combination of scenario, army list missing crucial scenario elements on opponents end and additionally very favorable terrain gives me quick game.
– on the other hand still after years of playing cygnar sometimes I forget about threat ranges from H2 list ;), either I am that lazy/ignorant or it’s just good lesson to always double check everything in first crucial rounds
– I feel this game would be much harder on slowly progressing scenario like the pit, generally speaking it is not easy to get with all the tharns in face of stormwall and just get rid of it. I am pretty much sure pairing would be much closer with this tiny change
