Horgenhold Artillery Corps


After painting whole Ossrum’s battlegroup, it’s time for units.
Below, freshly painted, Horgenhold Artillery Corps :

The clan lords of Rhul viewed the advent of artillery among the human nations of the Iron Kingdoms with amusement. The Rhulic Moot has traditionally taken a dim view of mercenary operations, but in recent years the profits certain clan lords have gained is difficult to dismiss. Certain provisions were made to allow Rhulic mercenaries abroad to equip themselves with siege cannons and other weapons of war. Their powerful mortars are extremely destructive and can be fired indirectly, giving the Rhulic army an intimidating ability to control the battlefield.

Why I chose Artillery Corps to my list?

  • Long range of shooting (16″!)
  • AoE 4 and pow 14
  • Arcing Fire
  • Brutal Damage

Synergy with the list :

  • Fire for Effect + Brutal Damage… it is just amazing! 3d6 to hit and 4d6 to dmg against target directly hit. Also, boosted pow 7 blast dmg rolls, should took care of infantry models.
  • Snipe increases the range of shooting to 20″ when aiming.
  • Also, Ossrum’s FEAT will add three more SPD, which will further increase the Artillery range.

For me, this unit seems to be a great addition to the list.
Such accurate and heavy fire can be very dangerous…
